A Minnesota felony doesn’t always impair gun rights or mean a lifetime loss of gun rights. The general rule of Minnesota law is when a felony probation ends,  gun rights, with other civil rights, are automatically restored. There exceptions to this general rule and in some cases, if your Minnesota gun rights have been revoked, the only way to have your firearms rights restored is to petition the court. Even if you've been convicted of multiple felonies, you can still apply to restore your firearms rights.
