African American Firearms Network-MN

This network was established by a group of community gun advocates, owners, and enthusiasts to serve the unique firearms related needs of the community. We seek to educate, equip, and empower individuals with the skills and tools they need to be safe, responsible, and legal gun users and owners. We also aim to develop and support a community of African American gun user, owners, and enthusiasts and create positive spaces for them to connect with each other, to local and national firearms resources, quality training, and firearms related events and community experiences. Though the network is oriented to Minnesota and to the African American and African community, we welcome people from all cultural, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds as long as they understand and respect the network’s purpose and the values that guide it.

AAFN-MN is administered and maintained by the Black Diamond Gun Club, an African-American led Minnesota-registered nonprofit organization which operates in partnership with Black Diamond Firearms Training, a nationally and Minnesota certified and Minneapolis-based provider of quality and comprehensive firearms training. The mission of both Black Diamond Firearms Training and the Black Diamond Gun Club is to educate, equip, and empower African Americans to become interested in and involved in safe and legal firearms use and ownership.

Joining the African American Firearms Network gives you an opportunity to:

Be kept up to date on information about local and national firearms safety, education, and skills training and other related courses and resources
Have direct access to experienced, certified, and quality firearms instructors and training
Share and receive resources related to obtaining a MN Permit to Carry, CCW in another state, education and safety related and carrying a firearm
Obtain assistance with developing shooting fundamentals, skills, and abilities as well as defensive firearms strategies and techniques
Gain access to the group event calendar and notice of Informal and formal/private firearms at the range events in MN and other states
Create connections to and engage in fellowship with other gun owners, users, and firearms enthusiasts in your local community and area
Stay current on information regarding gun ranges, firearms dealers, stores, retailers and other related vendors
Get assistance and guidance with selecting the right firearm and accessories to purchase
